TÜV SÜD GRC, a global leader in property loss control, has an immediate opening for a Senior Consultant, Property Loss Control, based in United Kingdom in a remote position.

General Requirements:

 - Surveys - Conduct property loss control surveys to evaluate the property and business interruption exposures at client facilities based on NFPA Standards and others as appropriate. 

- Develop recommendations based on standards to include loss estimates before and after completion of the recommendations.

- Evaluate automatic fire protection and water supply systems.

- Report and evaluate building construction, occupancy, special and natural hazards.

- Develop loss estimates based on scenarios such as the Maximum Foreseeable Loss

- Provides training and peer review for other consultants; serve as a technical resource to other consultants

- Services provided to clients include training, manual and program development, code or regulatory interpretation.

- May prepare and present proposals, develop service instructions, solicit client feedback and prepare stewardship reports.

- Work assigned is typical of higher technical need as well as being in direct contact with upper client management, including risk managers, financial managers, and other decision-makers.

- Professional conduct and excellent written/verbal communication skills are required as the position requires direct contact with upper client management, including risk managers, financial managers, and other decision-makers  

- Provide project management services to include special visits, plan reviews, and oral/written presentations to clients.

- Actively manage your work assigned in the database.

Functional Requirements

- Review and respond to communication from clients and internal communication

- Carry out fieldwork, report writing, consulting, and plan review.

- Review workloads and revise accordingly

- Must be able to: climb ladders; lift/carry up to 50 lbs; stoop, crouch, crawl; traverse catwalks.

 

Your qualifications:

- Four Year College Degree

- May hold any of the following certifications or be working toward Professional Engineer License (PE), Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS).

- 3 - 5 years of consulting experience

- Come to a sound conclusion based on information collected and the applicable standards/guidelines required.

- Gather and communicate information in a clear and concise report/letter/e-mail.

- Ability to manage your own workload

- Recognized technical expertise

- Computer literate
