Position Summary:

TÜV SÜD America Inc., a global leader in testing, inspection, and certification, has an immediate opening for a Marketing and Communications Manager. This can be a remote or hybrid role, depending on the candidate's proximity to one of the following TÜV SÜD offices:

- Wakefield, MA

- Alpharetta, GA

- New Brighton, MN

- San Diego, CA

- Auburn Hills, MA

- Woodbridge, NJ

Candidates located near one of these office locations are expected to follow a hybrid work model (a combination of in-office and remote work). Fully remote arrangements will be considered for candidates not within commuting distance of a listed location.

The Marketing and Communications Manager in collaboration with TÜV SÜD is responsible for developing, executing, and overseeing comprehensive marketing strategies to drive customer engagement, and revenue growth in technical, engineering or medical fields. This role involves planning, coordinating, and managing various marketing initiatives to effectively reach target audiences, generate leads, and support business objectives. 

Responsibilities: 

- Strategic marketing insights

- Partner with regional and local business units to understand market trends, customer challenges, and business drivers.

- Provide strategic marketing consultation to validate business opportunities and inform decision-making.

- Leverage customer and market insights to shape product marketing strategies, value propositions, and go-to-market plans aligned with business objectives.

- Marketing Strategy and Planning

- Develop and execute regional marketing strategies and plans that align with divisional goals and business priorities.

- Translate business inputs into clear marketing objectives, customer value propositions, and buyer personas.

- Manage marketing budgets and ensure the successful execution of marketing programs across multiple channels.

- Content Strategy

- Collaborate with global and regional teams to localize and adapt global marketing campaigns for regional audiences.

- Provide market input and validate content relevance for local customer segments.

- Translate business needs into campaign briefs and work closely with the Creative & Publishing Hub (CPH) and Digital Marketing Center of Excellence (DM CoE) to execute campaigns effectively.

- Track campaign performance and provide feedback to optimize marketing efforts.

- Marketing & Sales Alignment

- Work closely with local sales teams to align marketing and sales strategies, messaging, and customer engagement initiatives.

- Support lead generation, account-based marketing activities, and sales enablement initiatives to drive commercial success.

- Facilitate regular communication and collaboration between marketing and sales teams.

- Cross-functional Collaboration

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including DM CoE, CPH, Sales & Marketing Excellence, and other functional teams to ensure alignment and maximize marketing impact.

- Uphold TÜV SÜD’s brand identity and guidelines while supporting brand evolution and consistency across all touchpoints.

- Marketing Performance & Optimization

- Drive data-driven marketing practices focused on measurable outcomes and continuous improvement.

- Monitor key marketing performance indicators (KPIs) including ROI, lead conversion, brand awareness, and thought leadership metrics.

- Analyze campaign and customer data to generate insights and refine marketing strategies for improved results.

Qualification

Education and Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Mass Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.

- Minimum of 8 years of progressive marketing experience in a B2B environment, ideally within engineering, industrial, or technical sectors.

- Prior experience in the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) industry is highly desirable.

Specific Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

- Strong expertise in content-driven marketing strategies and digital channel management to effectively support business growth and customer engagement objectives.

- Technologically adept with a data-driven mindset; demonstrated ability to analyze marketing and customer insights, measure campaign performance, and leverage findings to inform strategic marketing initiatives.

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a professional presence and the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.

- Proven experience operating in a multinational organization with the ability to manage and influence stakeholders across various levels and cultural backgrounds.

- Self-motivated, resourceful, and collaborative team player with a proactive approach, adaptability, and a high degree of initiative.
